Should the Council continue regulating house shares in Roath?

Your Labour Council is determined that all tenants in the city live in properties that are well managed, dry, safe, warm and secure. The Council has powers to ensure that privately rented shared houses meet certain standards and can make the landlords/agents comply with specific requirements.

Cardiff Labour introduced a 5-year licensing scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation (house shares) in Roath. This is now coming to an end and the Council is consulting on whether it should be extended for a further 5 years.

Do you think the scheme should be extended? Are there any changes or improvements you’d like to see?
